How contingency fees work: no fee unless we recover
By Walter Hastings
4 min read

Many injury firms, including ours, are paid on a contingency basis. That means you do not pay hourly fees while the case is open.
What no fee unless we recover means
If we recover compensation for you, our fee comes out of that recovery as a percentage you agree to in writing before we start. If we do not recover, you owe no attorney fee.
What about costs?
Cases can involve costs such as records, expert reports and filing fees. Your agreement explains how they are handled, and we go through it with you line by line before you sign.
